(this is just a joke)
The meet can be Sunday Oct 31st.
The Halloween Woo Meet of PA.

Bring your Woo in costume.
My Woo will be disguised as a 1982 Volkswagon Van. Pretty good car costume if I do say so myself!

LOL :P

----

Seriously ... I think we should try to plan for Sat Oct 9th.
That is not too late in the month, but leaves enough time for people to get their work and/or school schedules changed to fit if necessary.

Also, plan for a rain/hurricane/tornado/earthquake date of Sat the 16th, because you know that if the weather can go bad for an event, it will try it's damndest to do so! LOL

I think it's a Daewoo meet, not a region meet, so everyone counts.

Ok everyone, just trying to get this moved from "idea" to "reality" status.
Let me know if everyone can agree on this:

Lancaster Community Park: This park was created through the cooperative efforts of Lancaster Township, the City of Lancaster, and the Lancaster School District. Groups who wish to schedule events must call Pat Fellenbaum (392-2115) at the Lancaster Recreation Commission. All events are coordinated through the LRC. There are soccer and baseball fields, areas for jogging or walking, a playground area, and a concession stand with restrooms.

1221 Millersville Pike

Should I make the call to the park, or should I volinteer Shaun to call since he lives near there?

LOL

I am thinking Lancaster because it is smaller than Philly and there is less of a chance of getting lost, mugged or shot (as said by my coworker who is from Philly).
Lancaster looks to be about the same driving distance from where 222 joins I-95 when coming from south of PA ... and personally, I do not like driving in cities that I am not familiar with.

I found 'Travelodge - Lancaster Amish Country' for the best price according to Hotels.com and Travelocity.com with rooms starting around $80 per night.

The park is east to get to from the hotel.
From the hotel, travel east on Columbia Ave
Turn RIGHT on Spencer Ave (it is a one way street)
Turn LEFT on Hamilton Park Drive
Cross Atkins Ave and you are then in the park.

Remember, this is all just an idea, nothing has been done about it yet.

Does this sound like it could work?

Ok ... we really need to try for the weekend of October 16th.
I have requested those days off from work and my supervisor said it will be worked into the schedule.
So, as of today, weather or not the meet happens that weekend, those are the days I will be off from work. :)

Cliff that sounds great to me.

I already called and left a message but I don't think it'll be hard to get the park for that date. It will however cost something to reserve the pavillian so we will need to take up a collection for the park and food.

I created a separate thread for the meet.
