In the UK coming out of the closet means a gay guy admitting to people hes gay and not hiding it no more :S

It's the same here, but in spanish. "Salir del armario", to come out of the closet. I wonder how widely is it used.

oh no... we don't have this term here at all... we just call such person "gay" or some other terms such as bicycle or a couch... practically any thing you can "ride" or "sleep on" is valid for marking a gay person.
