you have to go to your profile and put it in like an image on a regular post. put it in the "avatar" section and it should come up. i think exact instructions are in the "test" part of the forum.

Hmmm I tried uploading an avatar about 3-4 times yesterday. Kept spewing out code errors and not actually uploading.
