Finally have felt the rath of the rise and fall of Daewoo US

Post by SuperDuperDaewoo »

I wake up early, just like any other day I have to go down to Budget Car and Truck Sales (where I bought my 2002 Daewoo Lanos brand new), so that I may have it serviced for stuff still under warranty.
I walk to the service desk, everyone knows me for having the sweetest daewoo in my area, and he asks me to come around the desk so that he can talk to me.
He says, " I am sorry but the service manager doesnt want us working on Daewoos anymore, but I have the number of who you can call."
So I got an appointment tomorrow, but it still pisses me off that when they knew Daewoo was Chapter 11 in April of 02 (the time I bought the car), they didnt tell me! Now they are saying they wont work on it anymore either. Total bullshit!
The appointment I have is for this big dealership that used to only sell Daewoos but now sell Suzukis, I will keep you all posted on how it goes.

Do you think that they are still qualified to work on your Daewoo? Perhaps, it is better to take it to someplace that won't screw it up. As for going to dealers, I know what you mean. The nearest (only!) Daewoo dealer in my area stopped selling while I was in Japan, so now I don't ever see any to even look at. :x
