it seems like nothing is the diffrence bettween a c20let and c20xe EXCEPT the turbo box instead of the sfi
who knows the PERFECT DIFFRENCE please tell me
and what if i wana turbo the c20xe would it take pressure?

The main difference between the two engines, apart from the obvious exhaust manifold, and the engine management, are the internals. Having said that, its actually pistons only, which are of forged flavor, with some 8.8:1 (some sources claim 8.5:1) compression ratio. Other than that, the two engines are pretty much identical. Oh, the flywheel/clutch is different too.
If you wish to do a 'budget' turbocharging, we can get you the C20XE turbo manifold, and possibly thick decompressing plate that would be sandwiched between the block and the headgasket. You will also need a set of cam gears...and a lot of free time

Tom.... you keep thinking about the Z20LET... that was the one with the 8.8:1 compression
The 10.5:1 compression of the C20XE probably wouldn't like more than a few PSI of boost.... I'd say that 5psi would be as much as you'd want to go with the high compression pistons.... more boost could cause detonation... unless you plan on using high octane gasoline.
Personally... I'd swap in the Z20LET or C20LET pistons and boost it to 15psi.

I don't think 2psi is worth it.... I think it should handle 5psi with out much of a problem..... I'm sure there must be guys on the UK astra sites that have turboed their C20XE... perhaps you might want to dig around there.
You will have to modify the fuel system to add some fuel pressure and you will also have to "fool" the ECU if your going to use the stock C20XE wiring harness.
These are pretty simple... you need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a check valve (so the map sensor never sees boost)
