Holy cow! What a day!!

Post by TheGreatAndPowerfulOz »

WOW .... today was just ... a series of unfortunate events! LOL

It started snowing, so I almost missed the ferry across the river.
I picked up my girlfriend at 2pm and started heading toward the mall.
THe mall is usually a 25 min drive, but the highway was backed up from a big accident. We decided to take a back road, which a lot of other cars decided to take, too. The snow had been driven on and packed into ice. All the traffic was moving so slowly that the speedometer was sitting on zero. This lasted for about an hour and a halfand we had gone less than 1/4 of the way to the mall!
At one point, while the car was in park, the guy in the truck behind me got out and walked up to my car.
He said "Hey, did you know that both your passanger side tires are flat?"

Great!! a foot deep in snow, ice packed roads and 2 flat tires on the same side of the car!!

I drive about a quarter mile to a safe place to full off.
Luckily, there was a tow truck and the guy had a can of Fix-A-Flat.
I changed the back tire with the spare from the trunk and filled the front tire with the Fix-A-Flat and used the 12V compressor to fill the tire the rest of the way up to 35psi.

We turned around and drive back to the Wall Mart service center and got one of the 2 tires fixed. By this time, it was allready 6:30pm.
They said they could not fix a tire that had Fix-A-Flat in it. :(

Anyway, we went to dinner at UNO's resturant.
We ordered and they came out a few minutes later saying they didnt have what I ordered in the kitchen.
Then my girlfriend had ordered her meal without onion & peppers ... the brought it out with them & we sent it back.
After they brought her new meal out and mine was now cold ...
a roach ran across the table!!
I killed it with a napkin and asked one of the waitresses to bring the manager to the table.

He came over, was very concerned and we got the meal free.

On the drive back to her place, we almost hit a deer.
At the stoplight before her house, an SUV that was in front of us went too far past the line on the road, put it in reverse and would have backed into the front of my car if I had not put my car in reverse and backed out of his way!

Sheesh!! What the hell was going on today?!?
