I apologize for not having much experience with the 1.4L, but I think this may be the best way to do it...

Another UK woo owner, welcome :)

Please keep this thread updated with your progress with fitting the tach, I've tried myself but can't find the right wires.

Here's question hopefully someone can answer if i was to use a clock set from a 1.6 model and wire up the tach as above would this work i.e tank, temp, and speedo would work just he same as a 1.4/1.5 unit

I don't think so as the ECU has different wiring, it might be possible to convert it though.
Will have to wait for a reply from someone else.

if you were to get a tacho from a motor bike it would read correct since the lanos ecu only sends half the signal, if you used a tacno from a 2 cylinder engine (motor bike) it would be correct

My tach is for 4 cylinders, and I can't find any that work on just 2 :(

My ECU isn't under the seat either, its at the front of car on the opposite side of the fusebox kick panel.

Which wires do I need to use if I wanted the full signal? I notice the wire you used was different to the ones in ubuyau's guide.

I can't find any.

Wouldn't they be 6V anyway?
