Heater Control With A/C Switch in a Non-A/C Lanos!

Post by giga_matt »

Ok,

So i got some new daewoo bits as part of a deal and decided to mod another Heater Control unit with blue LED's.

(plan was to have a straight swap to save me from being without my car for a while)

The new heater control has the A/C switch on it and i thought i could use that for something else as my car doesnt have Air conditioning.

Anyway, plugged in the control to test, it lit up nicely but the Heated rear window switch didnt work.

Swapped the control back for the original and i now have a 'Check Engine' error light coming on 5 seconds after i start the engine which doesnt go away.

I can only think that my ECU now thinks that i have air conditioning which is faulty (AS ITS NOT THERE!!!) lol.

Anyone have any ideas on getting rid of this light - shall i reset my ECU?

Thanks,

MATT!

When my friend took off his dash in his nissan or any dash part he has to reset his ecu... it will always throw him a code just to inform him the dash stuff was unplugged... But i'm not sure if daewoo's do that as well...
a woo that is a work in progress
