sub

Post by woodae »

My sub has taken the most beating it could every take. I like dirt roads + e brake so plenty of times i have had to stop the car to put the 6*9 wires back on and flip the sub upright. What the best way you guys have mounted the sub box, almost a year of beating the shit out of my sub and amp and 6*9's I decided to take action. I was thinking what would happen if i blow anything. I have a 600 watt audiobahn amp screwed to my sub box with a 12" Dr. Crankenstein sub, yes very old school but pounds like hell. cost me 50 bucks for the sub+amp600watts+amp180watts, good deal for. i have infinity 2 way 6*9's brand new. help me.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried using velcrow to stick the sub box to the carpet in the trunk? I have seen a lot of people do that.

I tried that a long time ago and alls what happened is the carpet got ripped up from the spare tire cover... I guess the velcro was stronger than the glue for the carpet....

i cut a 3/4 inch piece of ply wood and made it fit to replace the stock tire cover, (my old box had caved the stock cover in) then i got some L brackets and screwed every thing down. i still need to reposition my amps so i can put the board back... in my box is sliding all over my trunk : (
