The vent that defrosts your driving window isn't blowing air, hot or cold! I played with all the switches etc...... So where should I start looking?

You've broken the connector behind your controller on the vent system... if you want to rig it to blow to the windshield here's what you do:
Open your drivers side door and kneel down beside your open door.
Look down under the dash to the inside wall of your center console. You'll notice a white plastic thing (kinda shaped like a rounded triangle).
That is the controller for the vent system. Grab it with your hand and move it so that it is rotated furthest towards your engine.
That should do it... it will now be blowing between the floor and windshield. Just turn on your fan to see if you got it right.
** The plastic holders for the heat control wires break all the time from what I hear... I had the same problem... just haven't fixed mine yet, just rigged it like I explained above **

Someone had done the same thing to one of my heat controls, but not to all of them. I just haven't gotten around to fixing those yet.TheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:I fixed my broken control cables and they work like new again.
I saw the plastic end had broken away from the brass crimp on the cable tube, so I used super glue and nylon zip ties.
Now all the controlls are working like new again.
