Turn Signal / Blinker problem
I've got a small problem with my front right turn signal. When I turn on the right turn signal, it blinks very quickly (like the front turn signal light is out), but the blinker light still blinks (but very dim). I have tried another bulb that seemed to be a match to the original bulb, but it continued doing the same thing. The light itself looks to be in good shape as the filaments are just fine.
I am trying to figure out if it's the blinker unit itself that could be the problem, or... what?
Any suggestions for fixing this would be helpful.

is it connected all the way? not the bulb but the plug itself. i know i forgot to plug in my light one time and it did that. or try to see if the wires are a little faulty. on my driver side headlight if i move the wire it turns off but thats only if i touch it. when i put it in and leave it alone it works fine.

Yeah... as near as I can tell it's plugged in all the way. The wires look alright (for as far as I can currently see them). It doesn't seem to have any kind of fickle behavior when I pulled it out to check it (continued doing the same thing no matter how I moved it). I triple checked the connection to see if there was just a loose/temperamental connection like your headlight... but no dice... and the driving lights work fine, it's only when I turn the turn signal on.
The part that gets me is that it thinks there is a bulb burned out or something. With the light blinking so fast like that... normally that would be the problem. But maybe not this time.
Left blinker works perfectly by the way... it's only the front right blinker that exhibits the problem.

Well... I've been living with it so far... so I know it won't kill me, but I really don't plan on "living with it" ... more to the point I'm going to fix it even if I have to trace the wires through the whole car.
The first phase of my plan for this car is to fix absolutely anything that was/is wrong with it. I have this problem and whatever my CEL is telling me is wrong (which could be this I suppose). After that is done, the car will need no parts at all. Once it's 'like new' again... I'll be moving on to phase 2 : mods

yeah... I'm pretty sure the bulb is in right... since I've taken it out and put it in about 10 times hehe... As for the grounds? How do I check the grounds?
And the relay... where exactly is the relay. And once I do locate the relay, how do I check it?
Don't worry... I remember most everything I learn... so eventually I'll be answering questions for other people too.

Could be a fault with the bulbs themselves. Change both of the turn signal bulbs on that side of the car (head and tail lights). It only costs about $2.00 for two and if it doesn't help it, at least we know what we are dealing with. I know how damn annoying it can be when the car is hyperblinking and you have to listen to that racket everytime you want to make a turn.
