My dimmer switch commited suicide earlier tonight thereby causing all of my lights to go out.
A new one costs $37.00, which I think is ridiculous for such a small problem.
Is there any way I can bypass the dimmer switch so that my interior lights work, at their normal brightness, or do I just need a new switch?

if we knew the resistance of the switch at full brightness you might be able to strap some resistors together. i don't know if the bright setting is 0 resistance or not
