harness question

a couple of months ago i bought the harness to hook up my aftermarket head unit. then i bought a head unit from my friend and he gave me the sony harness with it and i hooked it all up. now, i want to buy another head unit brand and do i need that brand of harness (Pioneer specific harness), or does it come with it, or can i just use the one i have.

You will be ok. The harness that you bought separate from the stereo is universal to all CD players. The new CD player you buy will come with wires that you connect into the existing harness.

It should look like this behind your CD player right now:
CD Player>Connector on the back of CD player>Wires coming out of Connector>CD Wires meet harness wires>Harness>Daewoo Connector

If so, then all you need to buy is your new CD player and it will come with what you need.

Your new setup should look like this:
NEW CD Player>NEW Connector on the back of CD player>NEW Wires coming out of Connector>NEW CD Wires meet SAME harness wires>SAME Harness>SAME Daewoo Connector
