So you've bought Daewoo's cargo net kit at the fire-sale price on daewoous.com, and fonud that the "rivnuts" (threaded rivets) are difficult to install properly, wrecked a few of them, and can't find spares.
Here's what to do about it: The stud onto which the lug for the net screws is M6 on the lug side and M4 on the rivnut side. M4 is almost exactly the same as #8 coarse, and M6 is close enough to .25" fine that if your local hardware store or Home Depot doesn't care metric fasteners, you can get by with US standard sizes. (Strangely, the local Home Depot's display is set up with a device to size metric fasteners but it doesn't carry any!)
You'll want one locking nut for each stud you'll need to install, in the M4/#8 size, and one plain M6 or .25" fine nut to help you turn the stud. You'll also want two plastic washers--not metal, because many dissimilar metals tend to corrode when in contact-- for each stud. The "3/8M" size works well.
Just put it all together in the only order sensible, using the M6 nut to help you turn the stud. Then put the rearmost piece of the trunk liner over the stud and screw the net lug on to the stud.
This method involves cramming a box wrench into a tight space to hold the locknut while tightening the stud, but it's foolproof, and probably more mechanically secure than the rivnut setup.
