First off let me say its over 100 degrees F right now and humid otherwise id figure this out myself.
I have CDT componts in the front speakers and the right one just stopped working. The tweater works but not the speaker. The night before it worked, i started my car in the morning, put a CD in and it didnt work. So its not like a blew it or anything...
What should i do or check first? I wanna know what most likly so i can spend as little time in the heat as possible.
Thanks!
Danny

1) Make sure a wire has not come loose from the SatNet crossover.
2A) If you have no amplifier, make sure a wire has not come loose from the radio
2B) If you have an amp, check the wiring going to & leaving it
3) Check the wiring that connects to the back of the speaker
When you installed the new speakers, did you remember to put a rain shield over the back of it made out of something like plastic milk jug so that water can't get on the speaker and get into the coils?

Found the problem... btw i had them installed. Ive had alot of problems from this audio shop but i dont have any other choices close enough to me that i can walk home (too hard to get rides). Anyways they only screwed the crossover down with one screw and the part of the crossover broke so it fell out with all the wires. and no they didnt do anything for rain.

some of the wires came out the plug.. i should have gone and gotten more screws so it wont happen again but im lazy and its a friday.TheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:The SatNet crossover network is made so all the wires screw into a plug. This is made to be removable.
So all that happened is the plug came out of the crossover?
That's an easy fix! Just plug it back in. Glad it was nothing worse.
thanks guys
