Reprogramming a remote key?
When I was at the junkyard today, I picked up the remote control key from a Nubira. It is the same remote as on my Leganza, but the key itself fits the same lock as my Lanos.
I can change the key itself in the remote, but how do I reprogram the remote to work with my Leganza like the 2 remote keys that came with it do?

Maybe this is a wording issue..Wolf-Spirit wrote:? leganza comes stock whit a remote from CDX and up.
as for programing as far as i know you need to go to a daewoo dealer he needs to use his scanner to do this
I have a remote and I have a key, but I dont have a key that has a rome built into it. Like in a Lexus key, this is what i think/thought he was talking about.
This is a lexus key w/remote:
This is my Daewoo Leganza CDX remote:

The key I have for my '01 Leganza SE with the convenience package upgrade has the remote as part of the key. They are a single unit like this:
I found the tech sheet for reporgramming the keys; the dealer has a unit that will reprogram your car, along with the all the remote keys, up to 5 keys, at the same time to all match.
A single key can not just be added. All keys have to be programmed at the same time. This is for security purposes so a new key can not just be used on anyone's car randomly.

I wonder if that style key would work for my 99 leganzaTheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:The key I have for my '01 Leganza SE with the convenience package upgrade has the remote as part of the key. They are a single unit like this:

I have keyless, but its the regular remote.TheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:I do not know if your Leganza has the receiver for the remote to work.
If the conveneience package (with remote locks) was never added, then the remote key will most likely not work as there is nothing for it to work with in the car.
