Cluster replacement

Post by blackielaw »

Hi everybody, wanted to ask a question that has been on my mind for quite some time. I want to replace my 1.4 Lanos stock dials with aftermarket ones. The dials on my car include a just a speedo, temperature and fuel gauge. All aftermarket stuff I found for the Lanos included a tacho dial and had the temp and fuel guage in different positions. Would it be possible for me to change the whole cluster to be able to fit the new dials and rewire everything to the new gauges in their 'new' position? Would the new cluster with tacho actually fit? Thanks

you shouldnt need to rewire anything just replace the cluster and it will work, the wires are already there just need take out the old one and put in the new one

thats great news! however, I still havent found a cluster with a tacho yet in Europe. I read a previous post saying the SX model had them if I remember correctly. Does anybody know where I can buy one from the 'net pls or has one himself for sale? Thanks
