1999 Leganza Fuel Pump Circuit???

Post by Allyn007 »

Hi,
I've got a 1999 Leganza with a no start issue. It's getting spark but no fuel. It has a good fuse, I changed the curcuit relay and finally the fuel pump and filter, but still no fuel pressure. Anyone have some ideas on testing the circuits or ??? Thanks, I'm I Daewoo newbie and appreciate your inputs.

You have to hear the fuel pump buzzing for 2 seconds evry time you switch ignition ON. Have a look at the fuel cut-off switch located along driver side seat.

Thanks Dan, Doesn't engage for the 2 seconds . . . how many power leads to the pump? And where exactly is that cut-off switch? Does anyone have a diagram showing the power circuit for the fuel system?

By looking at different manuals I found that there are sometimes errors in numeracy for the connector to the fuel pump. So I rely on what is actually wired on my LHD Nubira Wagon. The Leganza is "probably" similar to that level.

The fuel pump is on pins 2&3. The fuel level sender unit is on 1&4. The sensor reserve switch is on 5 &6.
Use a test lamp or a voltmeter on 2&3 to confirm a 2 seconds 12volts at starting.

All those contacts are going to C901.

The fuel cutoff switch is on the side of the driver's seat. It is a round black rubber knob of about 1 "dia.

You'll certainly find a diagram in our FAQ section " Where to download service manual for Daewoos? " or here: http://www.anagabriela.ro/

Just two questions. Does the blinking immobiliser led goes off at switching on?
Does it starts (for seconds) if you spray a shot of start-pilot in throttle body?

Hey Dan, Thanks for your help, It's my daughters car and I finally got back over there to check out. It was the Fuel pump trip switch which is located behing the passenger side seat on the frame rail . . . how embarrassing . . . I appreciate the time and effort to educate me here.
