Stereo Install Stage 1

Post by PrecisionBoost »

Well.... I finally got around to starting to install my stereo in my Optra 5.

Man it was a pain getting the center panel off.... I almost broke it trying to remove it.

They have these new clips that won't come off unless you use two screw drivers (one from each side)

I think this is Chev's contribution to the new Lacetti/Optra/Forenza.

I also had to make custom mounts for the stereo as the existing hardware is incompatible with standard decks (unlike my Lanos which took 5 minutes to install)

I did the mounts out of stainless steel and if anyone needs the pattern let me know and I will send it to you.....

Here is my Head unit and DSP/Equlizer...
