Do you guys have a G. I. Joes in Arizona? They carry optimas and they are almost always on sale. Also check Sears they sell them too.

On which one you should pick, are you ever going to deep cycle? Because if you are going to run the battery dead you should consider the deep cycle. The red top is primarily a starting battery. It doesn't have the continous output that the yellow top has. If you just have the normal accessory load (not exceeding 80% of the alternators out put) the red top will do fine.

So there are a few of my grounding points. I used stereo and regular wires. I used 1/0 gauge, 4gauge and 10 gauge wires for the job. The goal of grounding is to create the least amount of resistance between the power source and whatever is using the power. less resistance=less loss to friction (heat)=more efficency=less electrical strain.

The local audio store didnt have any either.

I guess ill just get the yellow top.. it seams to have everything as the redtop plus some. Even though they say the redtop withstands heat and whatnot better i bet the yellow does just as well.

I have 4g wire and im sauldering and using liquid electrical tape.. its turning out to be a clean job. I dont see any of the stock grounding points though in the forenza? i think theres one in the trunk though. I got blue audio wires and they are more flexable than i thought and look good but hopfully will withstand all the crap taht goes on under the hood

Ok ... I'm back from my vacation and ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA at that silly blue grounding kit!

That is just comical!

The *ONLY* places that will do ANYTHING for improving the ground are from the battery negative post to the body (the factory ground point is just fine) and then the body to the engine block.

Extra wires to the strut towers and the intake & exhaust are just a waste of wire, time and effort as they do nothing but take up space under the hood and make it look cluttered.

Remember, it is not only the ground that can bennifit from being upgraded to a thicker cable, but also the alternator positive (+) output to the battery positive (+) terminal.

plus... it's not like 3 wires are "cluttering" my engine bay (i took off the filter one and the tranny one)

it took 5 minutes to install... not worried about it

i did a few earths on mine, just used a few peices ov 8gauge power cable, i will be doing some more soon, i still have a few electrical issues, i think a good battery should sort it out.

if i have my lights on, and have the electric windows up, when i push the buttons to move them up again, the engine dies a bit....not drastic, but its noticable...so i know somethings up with the electrical system.

i highly recommend doing some form of earthing, even if its just upgrading the existing earths with some bigger cable, cars are made very cheaply, and cable can be exspensive, so they use the cheapest stuff possible.

that happens in a less dramatic fashion when the radiator cooling fans kick in at high speed and some times when i turn on my high brams (265 watts)... a ground wire upgrade is on the "To do list" for sure.

Upgrade the power and ground wires going to the power window motors; this will help with that a lot. It will also make the windows move faster and have stronger verticle movement.
