Try adding an additional ground wire just to see if this helps.

When I say add a ground ... I mean to get a few feet of wire, attach one end to a good clean ground point, then take the light assembly out of the car so you can get to the socket, then attach the other end of that ground wire you just made to the ground wire in the blinker light bulb's socket. You may have to get a straight pin or needle and stab the ground wire by the socket so that you can make contact to it with the new ground wire ... or you can strip back a little of the plastic from the ground wire and then use electrical tape over it once you have finished testing.

See if that helps. If it does, then you know you have a bad ground somewhere ... probbly under the dash at the turn signal relay. It (the relay) may just have a dirty contact on the wires that attach to it and they may need to be reseated.

My blinker fluid was low, so I had to top it up. I bought some on ebay for a good price.

Okay... here's the latest news on my blinker problem:

The bulbs in the front are in fact the 1157 amber bulbs. I bought a pair of those and replaced them, no problems there.

The bulbs in the rear are 1156g bulbs. The only thing I could find that was close is an 1156a bulb. Same shape, same everything that I could see. HOWEVER... When you put in the 1156a bulb, the light does light up, but it causes them to blink very quickly.

The left turn signal with the new 1157 bulb in front and old 1156g bulb in the rear resulted in a normal left turn signal with the normally slow speed.

The left turn signal with the new 1157 bulb in front and new 1156a bulb in the rear resulted in a high speed left turn signal.

The right turn signal with the new 1157 bulb in front and the old 1156g bulb in the rear resulted in a high speed right turn signal.

The right turn signal with the new 1157 bulb in front and new 1156a bulb in the rear resulted in a high speed right turn signal.

The right turn signal with the new 1157 bulb in front and the old 1156g bulb from the left rear signal installed in the right resulted in a high speed right turn signal.

To make a long story short... the old 1156g bulb from the left rear works, but only gives a normal/slow signal on the left turn signal. The 1156a bulbs caused high speed signals in both sides. And finally... all of the 1156a or 1156g bulbs in the rear right side turn signal resulted in a high speed signal.

Thoughts on this?

I'm looking on the internet now to see if I can even order a 1156g bulb from anywhere.

So far I can't find any record online for an 1156g online from just about anywhere (I did find one aftermarket bulb that was green with that number)

Have any of you guys changed out the tail lights? If so, what did you use and where did you get them?

Unless of course you think I might just have a bad relay or something?
