I don't see how it could use an independent power source, unless you have a second battery it would have to use the original battery to stabilize power :roll:

Thinking about it... it would probably have the same result to just add a second battery and wire them in parallel probably cost about the same as well.

im betting its a fancy power cap, id pass on that. if you need more power get a second battery

All you can do to stabilize voltage without serious modifications is to upgrade your ground cables. Battery to engine block, battery to body. And upgrade your 'hot' cable, battery-alternator. That'll help a lot!

If you need more power for audio, a second battery, an upgraded battery, or an audio capacitor is the way to go.
