You don't really need this, cause all CD players come with specific adapters that will only work on those CD players.

Yes, you do need it.

That wiring harness adapter is what plugs into the car's harness.

You solder or crimp that harness togetether with the harness that comes with the radio so the radio can easily plug directly into the car.

Cliff is right(as usual) j/k :P

It is true that a wiring harness is the preferred method of installing a head unit. If you don't have a harness and you DIY the hard way you will need a diagram unless

A) You are really cool and can remember the Daewoo wiring color chart
B) You have the time to use a test light and a battery to check for power and to check which speaker you are hooking up.

Another reason to do it right in the first place is to save hassle when it is time to reinstall or sell the car. Just unplug the head unit take off the harness plug the factory headunit(or new one) into the harness and you are good to go.

I never ever recommend shortcutting when it comes to your electrical systems. I've seen some pretty sad attempts at this and some pretty hairy outcomes as a result.
:D

BTW Cliff, it looks really really convincing now! :D

For my luck, it was all (A and B) on the factory CD player, so there wasn't much to check, except for 12V source that works with the ignition key on.
