how to clean air condition ?

Greetings.
I have Nubira II for 5 years.
I go to service regulary and change a/c filter every year.
But there is a very ugly smell coming from ventilation, so a assumed that I have to clean air condition.
So I bought some cleaning spray/foam, but don't know how to apply it.

Instructions on the bottle are:

Before use, shake the aerosol.

Before treatment, switch off the engine and the electrical installations.


Apply the foam to the condenser of the air conditioning by means of the enclosed adapter.
Insert the adapter about 30 centimetres into the air inlet of the air conditioning and completely empty the can.

The location of the air inlet differs per brand, consult your dealer.

After applying, do not switch on the engine or the electrical installations for at least half an hour.
In this half hour the foam will break and leave the system through the condensed water outlet as a fluid.

So...
Where exactly should I apply the foam ?
Should I remove the filter and aply in that inlet, or anywhere else ?
Is there a chance that foam could damage something inside (some electrics) ?
