Its doable, although I don't see why.

Take off the shifter handle. Underneath it is a metal pole with a metal rod going through it, attached to the thin metal rod is a white wedge-shaped piece of plastic screwed onto it. Remove that, and using a Dremel or other cutting implement, take the outter pole down to size, followed by the inner rod down to size. Then just epoxy the plastic wedge piece on, and epoxy or screw the new "short" shifter on.

It might not make sense, but once you open it all up its actually quite simple.

It would look better cause the shifters are pritty big but you would have to replace the shift knob

You wouldn't have to replace the shift knob, just shorten it up a bit. I measured and thought it all out when I was modding my green Lanos. It all would work out with some halfway decent measurements and an abrasive cutoff or Dremel.

But yeah, no sense in doing it at all. Changing the shift knob also makes you lose your POWER button.

And we all like POWER.
