Hello , I have a Nubira CDX 2.0 Station Wagon, Model 1997. Since a few weeks it shows an intermittent problem: sometimes, when I turn on the engine, the "check engine" light turns on and the automatic gear don't work properly, the speedometer doesn't work and the "power" button neither. Suddenly, the problem disappear and everything goes fine for sometime.
The mechanic made a diagnostic with an scanner and said it shows codes 92 and 93. He said that it means a damaged ECU and I need to replace it to solve the problem. I don't know too much about this but it sound too drastic to me.
May someone give me a second opinion ?
Thanks in advance
David

DOHC 2.0 Motor
I really don't know if it's a OBDII one. It's standard engine for Nubira in Venezuela where I'm located.
