Lanos lighter socket not cell phone friendly?????????

Post by Edman »

just tried plugging in a cell charger to Daewoo Lanos and nothing! At first I thought it was my charger, so I got a new one and zero power again. I pushed the lighter in and it pops out red hot! So, what gives Daewoo lighters not cell phone friendly?????????

It has been friendly, have you tried the car charger in other cars sockets, they could be defective (probly not , but they could be). i would check if the cell car plug is too long for the daewoo socket, some car chargers i have seen, are too long that the connecting points for the side of the plug, was to high up to touch the inside of the socket, id suggest putting the cell charger plug into the socket and pushing up, sometimes that helps.

Lighter socket problem fixed!

Post by Edman »

I took a voltmeter to the socket and noticed areas down the center of the socket worked and others didn't. So I removed the lighter fuse, then took a screw driver down to the center of the socket. I scraped around the center and removed what looked like some sort of resin/crap. I put the fuse back in and the charger now works great. Thanks for all the input guys!
