01 Leganza dash problems

Post by Raxnaphen »

Hello, I just got my new 01 leganza about a week ago and i am having problems getting the dash apart to put in a new cd player. Are there some screws somewhere that i could be missing - got the one behind right airvent and 1 behind left button (tpically where cruise is) and the ones above gauge cluster. I know there are more since when i pull on it it will not move in a couple spots. can someone help me locate the other srew (s)?

I had a similar problem, however my leganza is a 98 so there may be a few variances. I will show you where i had to do certain things.

As you can see in the image below, i have highlighted the trim around the control panel. You need to remove this panel. When you do, you will find a metal casing with 2 screws in it holding inplace the head unit. Undo these screws and slide out the frame from which you then unscrew the unit. From there replace it and redo what you undid.

i hope this helps
