Buzzing Tweeters in Lanos - Please Help

Post by LanosAus »

Hi Guys,

I just installed a pair of 6 1/2 inch splits with crossovers in the front doors of my Lanos, which came out of my turbo starlet. But there is a buzzing noise that comes out of the tweeters. The tweeters seem fine when i turn up the music and they cope with me changing the levels of bass etc, but there is still this buzzing noise.

Does anyone know what this is, how it is caused, and how i can stop it, or do i just replace the tweeters.

Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers! Evan

tweeters

Hey,
If you are running the tweeters through an amlifier, check your ground wire and the RCA cables. RCA cables should not run next to any of the car wiring, they can only cross them. If the buzzing noise is present when the car is off then it is a problem with the amp (if you are using one) or your tweeters, or your head unit. let me know if you have any questions.
