lots of sound questions

Finally I decided to solve my Lanos sound headache by asking a few questions.

Old setup: 2 Kenwood 90W speakers (front)
2 Kenwood 120W tweeters on dash
4 Longmill Disciple 150W RMS
1 Kenwood CD Changer
1 Kenwood KAC-646X amplifier.
1 Kenwood head unit 45Wx4

The tweeters and front speakers were connected directly to the headunit whilst the 4 Longmill were connected to the amp.

Now I decided to remove the 4 Longmill 6x9 from the rear because they and the board they were fitted to was very heavy and since my Lanos is a 1.4, it affected performace quite a bit.

I'm hopless in sound setups so these are my questions:

1: The amp specs says 50Wx4 Max (25x4 nominal). What would be the best speaker W I should connect to that amp without damaging them? Can I conect the front ones?

2. Apart from the door panels and rear rack, any other suitable place I can install speakers? Would want to avoid cutting the stock rack and any other custom made rack squeaked so much I gave up.

3. Alternative place to install the changer and amp, apart from boot.

i got my KENWOOD amp under the passenger seat right over the ECU plastic box... you got to be careful with that as the movement mechanism of the seat scratches the upper side of the amp so if your amp too big it will jam your seat (won't be able to move it forward or backward).

the driver seat is a bit more roomy... only thing to watch is the seatbelt indicator wire.

1. i would put a pair of KENWOOD 220Watt 7"x10" 3 way speakers in the back with the amp bridged for two speakers output... those speakers got bigger cone than the 6"x9" conventional speakers and thus produce much better bass. i already got them and the bass is the next best thing to having a sub.

2. you are really making it hard... get a custom made box and put the speakers in just like a sub installation, your mid range and trebel will suffer though. OK maybe the trebel will be compansated by the dash tweeters you got but it is a waste.

if you are going to use the box idea then get a sub at the back, mid ranges in the doors and you already got tweeters, you will need a crossover and another amp for the sub.

3. no more room except under the seats... read my previous post and bear in mind that this place subjects them devices to dust and most - if something got spilled - and perhaps a hit from the feet of the passengers.

i was thinking of getting 7x10's but i ended up getting the competition 6x9s, and they pump as hard as 2 10' subs and do a better job then a few of my friends assorted 12' subs
