First, before you buy the Clarion subwoofer, I have a few questions.
1) What is your budget for the subwoofer.
2) Do you want 1 or 2 subwoofers?
3) Do you all ready have the amp?
4) If you have the amp, what brand and model is it? You need to know what ohm load capicity the amp can handle before you buy the woofer.
For example, most amplifiers produce a variblly increasing output depending ou the ohm load they are given. Let's say the amp you have (this is an example only) produces 100 watts RMS at 4 ohms. That same amp, when given a 2 ohm load produces a 200 watt RMS output, and then when given a 1 ohm load, produces 400 watts RMS.
You have to know what the amp is capable of before you just go buy a woofer.
I can really help you get your system working nicely with matching equipment if you let me.
What is your budget for the subwoofer?
Do you want 8", 10", 12", 15" or 18"?
The single or dual voice coil woofer depend on the amp you are going to use.
If you have a single voice coil woofer that is 4 ohms, then it can be set up as 4 ohms only.
If you have a dual voice coil woofer that is 2 ohms each coil, it can be run with the coils in series at 4 ohms, or with the coils in parallel at 1 ohm.
Again, if you have a dual coil woofer that is 4 ohms each coil, it can be run as 8 ohms or 2 ohms.
Most amplifiers are not stable down to 1 ohm, so you would most likely get a dual coil 4 ohm woofer that can be run at 2 ohms.
If you can answer all the questions I ask, I can really help you get the best sounding system for the money you have to spend.
I'm here to help, so just ask anything you want.
Good luck,
Cliff

If you can possibly spend a little more ... $150, you can get a *MUCH* better subwoofer than that Clarion.
The Adire Audio Tempest.
Dual voice coil, 400 watts RMS per coil, 750 watts RMS total, but can take a LOT more power.
http://www.adireaudio.com/mobile_audio/ ... empest.htm
It is dual 8 ohm voice coils, so you can run it at 4 ohms, and if you decided to add another one later, you can run them in parallel at 2 ohms to get a lot more power out of your monoblock subwoofer amp.
This sub will sound cleaner, hit harder and play a lot lower while producing much higher SPL (Speaker Pressure Levels) so it will make the hair on your head move, massage your back and vibrate your guts. It will shake your mirrors so much you won't be able to see out of them.
It does not look fancy, but the company that makes it wanted to keep the price down by not having anything unnecessary. Really high quality speakers with nothing extra that can make the price go up.
You can find the closest Adire dealer to you here:

Thanks!
Contact the Erez Shadach ziki_shad@hotmail.com and find out how much it will be to ship the sub to you.

These subs are definately worth it, and you will be the only person in all of Egypt with one!
You added a graphic equalizer? Does it have RCA outputs?
If it does, it will make the amplifier installation simple.
Have you found a good amp power and ground wiring kit for your car yet?
I would suggest a kit with 4 gauge power and ground wire.
This kit should include the following parts:
Power cable
Ground cable
Power distrobution block
Remote amp turn-on wire
Fuse block for the power cable

That is great that you can enjoy your music inside your car and not disturb anyone else outside your car!
I have put many layers of sound deadening material inside my car so that no one will hear my stereo outside the car.
A loud stereo in a car is advertising to thieves to pick your car out from others to break in because they know you have something worth stealing.
In a hatchback, the best direction to face the subwoofers is up at the glass, or to the back of the car, away from the seats.
Try both positions and see which sounds best.
If the woofers face up, the sound waves reflect of the hatch glass and then foreward into the cabin. If the woofers face back, the sound waves reflect off the back of the car and then back into the cabin.
Some people find that one way sounds better than the other.
Facing the woofers forward toward the seats is usually quieter in most cars, but until you try different positions with the box, you will not know.
As for not having RCA outputs, you can always get a speaker-level to RCA converter. This changes the stock line level to RCA connections so you can connect your amp.
