Pedal Replacement?

Post by delphis »

I got some new pedals the other day without thinking before I bought(damn I hate being an impulse buyer) and now I can't seem to detach my stock pedals, any suggestions, or will I have to dismantel the accelerator/brake section to get them to come off?

what exactly did you buy?? are those sport pedals that matches where you put your foot on? those doesn't require any dispanteling of any parts of your stock pedals... they fit right on the old ones.

i got those exact pedals and they need no dis assebly of the OEM pads whatsoever.

if that is not what you bought then we need some pics or more illustrations on what you got so we can help.

A mate of mine spent like 3 hours trying to figure out how his brake pedal came off... I went over and all it was, was the pedal had like 2 parts to it. the plastic bit thats attached to the rest of the lever, and a rubber bit that was sort of wrapped around it (i cant really explain it). Once you pulled it off, it exposed a screw that held the plastic part of the pedal. Once that was undone we could take the whole pedal off then replace it with his new one. If yours is anything similar you could see if that works?
