Amp RMS watts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 9&tc=photo
Ok well it says 1 x 600 watts rms at 2 ohm
So is that 300 watts rms into each sub with two subs? and what if the subs are 4ohm? or even dual 4 ohm? i still dont understand this that well.

Ok, it is a mono amp, so it has only 1 output channel (which I'm sure you allready knew).
600 watts at 1 ohm would work best if you have 2 subs that each have dual 4 ohm coils.
You can wire each sub in parallel to give a 2 ohm load, then wire each 2 ohm load sub in parallel to be seen by the amp as 1 ohm.
Think of it this way:
If a sub has two 4 ohm coils, it can be made to read as 2 ohms or 8 ohms.
Wire the two coils together in series and it adds the two ohm loads together to be seen by the amp as 8 ohms.
Wire the two coils together in parallel and it divids the two ohm loads to be seen by the amp as 2 ohms.
After a sub's two coils have been wired together, the sub must be considered as a single coil with what ever the load you configured it to be. Example, the sub, wired in parallel, is now a 2 ohm load sub.
You can wire two subs together and use the same formula.
Two 2 ohm subs in parallel are seen as 1 ohm.
Two 2 ohm subs in series are seen as 4 ohms.
I have not read the specs on that amp, but if it follows most amps amp says it is 600 watts RMS at 1 ohm, then at 2 ohms, it will be 300 watts RMS, and at 4 ohms, it will be 150 watts RMS.
Again, I have not read the maunal on this amp and it may not follow what most amps do with different ohm loads.
Did I confuse you enough?![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)

Read Erfinder's electronics theory post; it's very useful.
For your needs as it applies to sub coil resistance, read part 3.

Erfinder: Thanks for posting that information.

I dont think those subs will be best for that amp.
If you can get two single 4 ohm coil subs, then it will work fine on that amp.
Two 4 ohm coils can be wired in parallel to 2 ohms.
The two subs you posted the link to are dual 4 ohm.
These can be wired to yield, 1 ohm or 4 ohms or 16 ohms.
Those subs will either be too quiet at 4 ohms, or draw too much power from the amp at 1 ohm and shut it down in protection while making it overheat.

Oh ok. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/smile.gif)
Remember, even if you have good equipment, the box and build quality is 75% or more of how good they will sound.
Crappy subs in a good box can sound good.
Good subs in a crappy box can sound bad.
Good subs in a good box can sound wonderful.
Remember to have a box that matches the RF's enclosure specs.
Also, remember that if you want more sound quality, to build accordingly.
If you want more SPL, then again, build accordingly.

Im trying to find a place to build me a custom box to show it off in my trunk and have it all lay in the tire compartment. But i need to find a smaller shop as i wanna trade for the work. My family owns a lumber company, i know 800$ worth a wood (which they can use for boxs) is a good trade for like $200 work of work.

Find references of pervious customers.
Look VERY CAREFULLY at their work.
I would very strongly reccomend this company. Their work is better than any I have seen from any custom shop, and he can build specifically to your car.
