Hi guys,
I'm just wondering is there anyway to connect a computer to Daewoo Lanos ECU. Because it has a link called ALDL that has 12 pin output and I can't find any suitable software and computer plug (like OBDII kits) to my car. I just wanna hook my laptop up to my car and monitor live data readings from my ECU.
Anyone has any solution on this?
Cheers

there is a software program that I know of, it's from the company that makes the Genesis scan tool. I don't remember what it was called but it started at $2300US and went up to $4600US to include Import conectivity. I could look into it again but Napa auto stores can get the unit and give you the Information needed.

older versions of EFILive can do that but you have to get an ALDL ---> USB cable

I bought a Scantool from OBDPros [www.obdpros.com]
it hooks into my laptop with a usb cable [2.0]
And I bought the upgraded software.
All together [including shipping]
I paid about a $130 bucks.
Now I can diagnose any engine problems and check all the temperatures and pressures and timing stuff.
Its amazing, and really beats having to go to a mechanic and paying them $40 bucks to diagnose it.
Plus, the guys selling these things were super helpful when I had any questions.
So I definitely recommend this setup if you wanna have real-time feedback and also the ability to check error codes and clear them

it not that hard to make a interface, you just need to know what wire you need to splice in the car :P
