Granted Florida has a reputation for giving a license to anything, but I just found this interesting. I don't care what anyone says, I'd still like to swap a Nissan SR20DET into one and if reasonably possible, the rest of the AWD system from a Pulsar GTi-R. And its in silver, my other favorite color.
Well I looked and I only get one part number for the Lanos Gauge cluster and no listing for a tachometer in any year in the US. This car must have been imported into the US from somewhere else that does offer the tach. The only thing that gets me is that Speedo reads in MPH. hmm...
My best guess is this car came from Canada. The Lanos came with a tach there. I also was able to locate a dealership in Canada that could order one. They also have the combination temp/fuel guages. I am still trying to figure out why they didn't put a tach or an option for a tach in any of the US models?
It made no sense not to offer the US version with no tach. Its already been titled and registered so whoever got it seems to have a street legal car. Must have never been a problem.
