Lanos - Heater Fan doesn't work

Post by daewooluvr »

Anyone know what might cause the heater fan to stop working. When I turn the fan on it just clicks but doesn't force any air through the vents.

Any help is greatly appreciated as it's cold and I have no way to defrost/defog the windows now.

The problem is back.

Anyone have any diagrams, "how to's" on for the heater fan?

If blower doesn't blow (speed 1 to 4) but you hear a click you should look at blower motor's brushes.
You can get diagrams on the FAQ section: http://www.daewootech.com/forum/viewtop ... =21&t=5085 .

slam her into another curb :D

you really have to recheck wiring, relays (we have one for speeds 1 2 3 and one for 4) and the motor itself

Daniel,
Brushes?
yes... the carbon brushes inside the electrical motors... the ones connecting electricity from wires to rotating coil

Any details on where these relays are? I know speeds 1 and 2 have never worked.

This just in, the heater fan came on again and I didn't have to hit any curbs. Just started back up one day.
