suspension check... Lanos

Post by Rodd1s »

just a quick check, before I buy anything...

I'm looking to lower my Lanos hatch, and am I right in thinking that aftermarket Astra Mk2/ Kadett E/Nexia (as these are all the same car) springs will fit directly onto the lanos?

Eibach, B&G, Intrax and several other companies make springs specifically for the lanos.

Yes, the suspension (springs/shocks) are interchangable. And also you will have much larger selection if you look into the assortment for Astra Mk2 GTE ;)

@jidasas: i know there are several companies that make springs/dampers specifically for the lanos, but they are hard to find.

@GsiTrubo: thanks for the tip. I've found quite a few suspension upgrades packs for the Mk2 GTE.

my mate Will has his mk2-nova GTE engine'd-astra dropped by 90mm, and with the front splitter it only sits an inch or 2 off the ground.

then there's Jamie's mk3 golf...

...and thats not even adjustable suspension, nor airbags - just plain LOW!

EDIT: in case anyone's wondering, the splitter on the Astra is off a Golf VR6.

If you like any of the springs I listed I could get you a quote incuding shipping to the UK...I didn't look to see where you were located the first time I posted. I know a shop down the road from me can get the b&g's for 199 US dollars installed. plus shipping you'd probably be better off going with someone in your own country though. I think the Intrax were 179 without installation and they are a 1.5 inch drop.
