Strut bar confusion
Hi have been reading alot of the posts for front and rear strut bars, and im completely confused. Is there a single answer to what type of strut bar is direct fit to the 2l nubira. Where i am from no one sells or makes them. The option i have is a getting custom made ones or using strut bar from bars from another car taht will fit mine
Re: Strut bar confusion
Your best option for the front... would be a bar from a 95-00 mistubishi mirage with slight modification it'll fit... the back one, i'm not sure... and until i find that out, i'm not getting a front one... because i've heard bad things about only having one strut bar...boosted_to_zero wrote:Hi have been reading alot of the posts for front and rear strut bars, and im completely confused. From what i've heard and read the front roll stiffness and rear roll stiffness must be balanced. Too much front roll stiffness causes understeer--the vehicle feels like it wants to plow ahead and is reluctant to turn. Too much rear roll stiffness causes oversteer--the vehicle feels like it wants to turn more than you want and maybe have the rear wheels skid out.boosted_to_zero wrote:i have just been reading the forums, on here and they dont give clear answers on wat people have used for front strut bars and rear strut bars, i was just want to knowing if there was exact strut bars to use or do i have to modify one and wats the most commno n easily modified
So you want both bars... to even this out...

i have only a front strut bar and i dont get understeer. it works great, im able to take a freeway entrance ramp (on the way to work) at 60 miles an hour (with crappy tires), the woo does great, ive actually skidded out on it before i did the strut bar. but then again i have also lowered my woo so that could be a reason too. i wish i could get in contact with kenny (audacityraceing) so i could see if im ever gonna get my rear bar. i miss haveing him around
I miss him too... The reality is, i think, it's more of your lowered car that allows you to do that... My car can do that as well without strut bars...daewoomofo wrote:i have only a front strut bar and i dont get understeer. it works great, im able to take a freeway entrance ramp (on the way to work) at 60 miles an hour (with crappy tires), the woo does great, ive actually skidded out on it before i did the strut bar. but then again i have also lowered my woo so that could be a reason too. i wish i could get in contact with kenny (audacityraceing) so i could see if im ever gonna get my rear bar. i miss haveing him around
I was really excited about the custom bars kenny was going to do for us... I hope he comes back soon...
