well in my opinion you should fiberglass it to your hood. that would give it a nice smooth look. Also if you want it to be functional you should cut out the metal underneath it to alow air in.

As for attaching the hood scoop, you could always use duct tape. :D

Mine is currently non functional (as I haven't built an air box for it yet or anything). I attached it with some high strength double sided tape. Works awesome. Looks good too. :D

Someday I might make it functional... but don't know when.

Show us some pics of your new scoop. Might help us better understand what you've got on your plate. Oh... and pssst... what do you drive?

you could take the lanos airbox and cut it and mold it so i can be remove able from the hood, and then put a screen and a drain pipe on the botom of the box and run a hose down the hood ( like the winsheild wiiper cleaner hose) and run that down to the ground, and then put a junction to the intake ( if you have another air filter like a k& n cone one, you could route it to it. now that would be fun and functual, air from main filter, and then more from the hood scoop, in rain or shine, and the screen and stuff would prevent htydrolock and bad stuff and it would be neat to do, even to my lanos...( but that is in case u have a lanos if u don't then i dunno what u would have under the hood to use like that..)

just an idea.??

hopes this helps...........

btw, do youhave that air box on it? if u do, take and put a cone filter on the intake end after you take the tube and the actuall box apart from one another, flip the box upside down, cut it to the sixe pf ur scoop entrance hole, and then attach it to the hood, and then cut and bend the airbox so it will fit under the hood when closed and use flexative plastic tempered tubing and send it to the intake, or curve it so it comes to the front of the engine ( or wherever u want it to cool it ?:

heres some drawings of what i mean ok?
and don't worry about it, i have had peeps i used to kow do that, it will jsut take time. adn if u get a fine enough waterscreen and a good drain hose on them rainy days, you will never get hydrolock.( as far as i have seen)
