Korean ClubGTR...body kit manufacturer

Post by PrecisionBoost »

Club GTR makes nice looking Lanos body kits...
http://www.clubgtr.com/

This company imports Club GTR to the USA (for Hyundia Tiburon)

http://www.importshark.com/index.htm

But I'm sure they would bring in some Lanos kits if we wanted

Here is the original link for a Korean Lanos that has a ClubGTR kit

http://www.hituning.com/hib/boardView.p ... 172&page=6

I really like the front bumper....and the rest of the kit is pretty sweet.

The only think I'm not sure about is the hood design.

When you go to the clubgtr.com link go to the top right and click on the first line below bodykits (I don't have korean character support so it looks like ??????)

The Battle kit on the bottom of the first page is the kit I like but they seem to have a whole pile of kits.

You get 1,179.30 Korean WON for every USD.

The EVO Lanos kit was 720,000 WON = $610.53 USD

The Battle Lanos kit was 1,360,000 WON = $1,153.23 USD

The Battle Kit Spoiler = 290,000 WON = $245.91 USD
The Battle Kit Rear Bumper = 390,000 WON = $330.70 USD
The Battle Kit Side Skirts = 290,000 WON = $245.91 USD
The Battle Kit Front Bumper = 390,000 WON = $330.70 USD

For those prices I think we should find someone who can import them ( such as the importshark guys)

Does anyone here speak Korean and or have friends in Korea????

It sure would be nice to buy these direct as the importshark guy might end up bringing the prices up to current "market" levels and make the kit really expensive.

Yeah I saw the M3 mirrors a while ago and I wanted to order them, but I have no clue how.

I've sent an email to the owner of importshark.com who brings in ClubGTR body kits for Hyundai vehicles.

I mentioned that I would consider fronting him some cash if need be.

I really like the looks of these two kits better than the ones I've seen on Sharkracing.com (mostly kits from Australia)

the "Battle" kit is the same kit as the "Jetspeed" kit on sharkracing.com

It probably looks different cuz the hood and mirrors are modified.

Ya your right....it took a few seconds to compare up close but they are identical....and sharkracing is slightly cheaper......oops I just noticed that the ClubGTR also comes with a 290,000 WON Spoiler....which is about $245.91 USD so the ClubGTR is about $907 vs $1045 for SR.

But then again the $907 does not include shipping.

I wonder why the ClubGTR and Jetspeed are the same....hmmm did you notice the Shark Racing "not available to customers in Korea"

I bet that Shark Racing isn't allowed to compete with ClubGTR or else Jetspeed buys the ClubGTR kit and sells it under their own name.

Who knows....but yes they are the same kit.....I guess we will see how pricing is when I get my email back from the importshark guys

As well the shark racing "newstyle Lanos heat bumper" is identical to the bumper offered in the ClubGTR "EVO" kit.

But shark racing only has the front bumper, not the whole kit.

Shark Racing's price = $495 USD including shipping

ClubGTR price =$288.31 USD + Shipping

I also screwed up on the EVO Lanos kit.... I said it was 720,000 WON but that is without the spoiler so it's actually 1,010,000 WON with the spoiler= $856.44 USD

I don't know why but I like the ClubGTR Battle Kit in silver way more than I like the Jetspeed in black.

Now I'm confused....I really like the silver but hate it in black....I wonder what it would look like in red.

No the Jetspeed kit is custom made by the company called Jetspeed. Check them out at http://www.jetspeed.com.au

Also keep in mind that the SR price already includes the shipping charge.

This was the quote from import shark....

"The Club GTR Daewoo Lanos bodykit is $1200 USD and includes front, sides, rear, and spoiler. Orders of 10 or more receive a 15% discount. Expect import fees direct from Korea to be in the $350 range, with about $150 in shipping to our area."

Note that the $1200 including spoiler is very close to the $1153.23 I said earlier in the post.

Without the spoiler it should run about $950 USD.

If 10 kits were purchased (without spoiler) that would mean a price of around.....$807.50 USD +$35 for customs/brokerage ($350/10) + 100 for shipping (10 units should bring shipping price down)

So that would leave us with roughly $942 USD per kit vs $1045 USD from Shark Racing.

Given Shark racing would probably also drop the price for 10 kits it's probably not any cheaper going through importshark.

I guess the ClubGTR could be an exact copy of the Jetspeed

Who knows.... I still wish I could find someone other than Shark Racing that stocks these kits..... I've sent them a few emails about product inquiries and they ignored me.

As a manufacturer / distributor I find this to be poor management of incoming email.

If your too busy and can't respond atleast have the courtesy to let people know and tell them to pick up the phone.
