that's exactly what we want to do but you know it is hard to take off the paint and have the tail light in perfict condition (paint thinner will eat the plastic and leave dim surfaces) so we are trying to see what fits best on the car using pics so that we don't have to remove the paint if we didn't like the result.TheGreatAndPowerfulOz wrote:I think if you paint it to match the body, don't make a light cover, mask off the parts that you do not want to paint and then actually paint the lights.

actually the guy tried the option in the second pic using paper sticker... the idea was cool but the finish of the job sucked big time... after one day the edges of the paper mask was already comming off.
