How do you do this? I found this pic in some guys cardomain page. I dont really like this one.. but theres this maxima in my area that looks like the head and tail lights have window tinting in them. Anyways i really like the way they look and they didnt seam to obstruct the tail lights at all.

Cant you also like smoke it out or something like with the oven?

I'm pretty sure those are just the covers (painted black), not the actual headlights painted.

this could be one of many things:

1) really cheap black adheasive paper with the circles cut from it, could be sticked on the outside or the inside of the headlight... this is by far the sheapest and most crapy way to do it and i recommend against it.

2) black paint, the 3 circles are masked with some paper or adhesive tape then the rest of the headlight cover was spraied with black... also could be done on the outside or the inside and better the inside to avoid paint removal by washing and all... it will look good if done right, you have to be very skillfull and tidy or else you will smere the whole damn thing.

3) painting the inside chrome of the headlight with black spray, the hedlight is opened and the chrome facial parts are painted... all the reflectors are left in chrome as they are. this really works on the Lanos headlights but i am not sure if it applicable for htis car.

4) after market accessory mask, mostly a plastic frame with so many chapes to choose from and you can paint it whatever you like, also could be used on the outside or inside but those almost always are "outside" kits. it is the easiest to have and most expensive solution.

from the pic i hardly think it is the crapy paper solution... it is too nice to be paper... also i can see no protrusions on the face of the headlight so that can't be a plastic mask... unless it is too damn thin or mounted on the inside. also the black mask is ON the face of the headlight so their is no way this could be a painted chrome interior.

most propably this is face paint done by some one with skills... if the car is on car domain then contact him and ask about it, you will be 100% certain of what he did and you can also enlighten us too.
