i want the rear lower

Post by daewoomofo »

i have the eibach 1.2 drop. (yeah 1.2 my ass more like 3.0) the front sits very nice and low, but the back is still sitting higher that i would like. is there aby way i can get the back to sit lower that doesnt involve, cutting heating or replacing the springs? i know i just prolly said NO to all of the options out there but i have to ask. id only want another prolly 1/2 to 1 inch lower.

if any one has any ideas please do tell, thanks in advance.

Lol thats not really affordable though, it's even more expensive than a set of springs.

Can you not try and source a set of rear springs that drop it more over there? Is the rear in the sedan the same as the rear in the hatch? [minus the boot].

You've the exact same problem as me. I lowered mine 40mm, Love how the front sits but the back looks shit. Can still get my hand in between the tyre and the arch. I'm gonna buy some Jamex 60mm springs soon though. I really font like how the back of mine sits either. Looks exactly like yours. Low at the front, high at the back.

its more or less in the body lines of the car. short of cuttin them(springs) or any of the other options u mentioned (outside of air bags) there isnt a whole lot you can do. maybe getting creative with the fenders to make it appear more dropped. this would allow you to be a lil more safe with ur ride meaning you wont have as bad of clearance issues. i dunno, its just a thought

or bigger rims on the rear.

[stupid idea]
what about loading up the rear seat and boot with a lot of weight so it sits as low as possible... leave it standing for a week (or drive it - your choice) and then see if it makes any difference after you take the weight out...

this idea probly sounds stupid, but its just something i gathered from how springs can get softer if a big force is put on it for an extended period of time.

look at the bright side though, if this works... at least it's free... right? lol
[/stupid idea]

on a more serious note, my car seems like it sits higher at the front, rather than the rear. will get some pics later today.

just get a fat bitch to ride around with you for a while. just make sure she sits in the middle so one side doesn't sag more than the other. lol

I think I'm going to bag my rears and do custom coil overs in the front. the bag kit would likely be around $300-$350 just fo rthe bags, brackets and a couple fittings to be used with a seperate air compressor not in the car.

... just an Idea

I've never really liked the thought of having bags holding up the rear of my car xD I know theyre capable of it, but everything i hear it, I think like.. plastic carrier bags, tied in a knot with air pumped into it.
