today i went up to 160 Kms and the car feels OK... no more wondering under braking and stuff like that.
i got one question though: does the low profile tires make the car more "nervous"?? i think this is why my steering feels more responsive and the rear a bit drifty.

The lower profile will make the car feel a little different. You have to consider, the more tire wall you have, the more it reacts with the suspension. Now that you have a shorter tire wall, because the profile is smaller, you will have more feeling from the road, because the tire is absorbing less of the road imperfections. Totally normal. If you have had the car up to 160km, and it still feels ok, then I think you have it fixed. If you had problems that would impede with normal driving, (100km and under,) you would have noticed them. Now go enjoy your new woo.
thanks man... you are the best
i have put some 130 Kms of driving yesterday and did all the stuff i can... going fast up to 160 km/h, driving steady at 90 km/h... raced a Peugeot 405 and a toyota corolla (smoaked them both) and did some sharp turns while beeing aggresive on the steering to see how different the car feels.
every thing went OK... only thing to report was that the car feels a bit more nervous than before but you cleared that out for me and for the first time since 3 weeks i am enjoying my woo again
one more thing... does the tire tread (unidirectional ) affect the steering behaviour on bumps and all?? i mean on some bumps or dividers on bridges i feel the bump kinda pull the steering wheel a little... is that normal after swapping regular 175/70/13 tires with 185/60/14 unidirectional tires??

It is probably related to the tires again. Lower profile + more grip = more feedback through the steering wheel, which is what you're feeling. You have upgraded a major part of your suspension / steering so it is going to feel a little different. When I went to 17's with 40 series tires, I noticed the same thing you are feeling.
that makes perfect sence... if i am getteng more feedback from the new tires and i am driving on those good for nothing roads we have here then i should feel all the bumps and deformations on the road surface... can't blame that on the tires can i??
in the end it is a very nice upgrade, defenatly worth the money spent and again thank you guys - specially Chippy - for helping me out through this... you guys rock.
