need advice

Post by dinoc »

I need some advices here (I'm pending here between good-looking wheels and comfort on our not so good roads (a lot of bumps) :
- first choice - 16 inches 7Jx16 with 205/45 R16 tires - but I'm not sure how comfortable the "45" part of tire will be on our roads ?
- second choice - 16 inches (7Jx16) with 195/55 R16 tires - the "45" part increased with 5% (~ 5mm)
- third choice - 15 inches (7Jx15) with 205/55 R15 - however this is + 1,74 % taller rim than original tire (185/65 R14) - is this ok for the brakes and ABS ?
- forth choice - 15 inches (7Jx15) with 195/55 R15

What do you think ? What will be the best choice to have nice looking wheels and comfort ?

as a general advice: if your roads are not that good then you shouldnt go too low with the profile of your tires... i already have friends that bent 15" rims and distroyed 195/50/15 tires on pot holes.

Yep ... I was thinking all day to this ... I guess I'll stay on 15 inches ...

- third choice - 15 inches (7Jx15) with 205/55 R15 - however this is + 1,74 % taller rim than original tire (185/65 R14) - is this ok for the brakes and ABS ?
- forth choice - 15 inches (7Jx15) with 195/55 R15

What do you think about "third option" 205/55 R15 - the wheel is +1,74% taller then original (185/65/R14). Is this ok ?

After long waiting to be delivered (from Italy) I have my wheels OzRacing Superturismo GT 15 inch 6,5Jx15 ET43 with 195/55 R15 rims - I'm happy about the result :)

The wheels models are: http://www.ozracing.com/oz2005/index.ph ... wcard=1003

good selection but for a nubi I think the perfect size is 16" with some 205/50/16. 15 dont look bad at all.

I have 17" with lips, the lips are semi destroyed, I pay 100.00 to fix one and 2 more are pending. Also every bump on the street is like no have suspention..... So any one with a nubi or leganza who want 17" rims use a minimum of 205/45 my recomendation. Or go with 16" the lips look greats but are too delicates...

Well, that's what I did but is not working ... or it's probably because I do not have the HTML 'on' feature (mine is 'off') .
