put them on the top because i tried to put them on the bottom but my hood would close

looks to be new bolts... if the OEM were that long they would punch through the outside of the hood.

Does anyone have the specifications of the bolts required and the length of washers, etc? I want to do this mod this weekend - get rid of some heat!

*bump*

i got the right bolts and everything - and hard rubber bushes to space the bonnet but i have pivot issues. Tried to put it on last weekend and the hood wont clear past the plastic trim around the wipers in each corner.

Just wanted to know what the go is here and how to fix it. The spacers are only 15mm so its not heaps - just want to know how it fits pivot wise?

pull it a bit forward before tightening the bolts

or looking at the 2nd pic i posted earlier might help :idea:

I'll be retrying this mod this weekend and will let you know how i go. I'll make sure i take photos and post bolt specs etc.

easy... just take the screw out take the screw to home depot or pepboys then ask them do u have some washers for the screw then find one... then ur done
