Fanblades

Post by Pir0 »

Just got a set of Vauxhall 'Fanblade' wheels, 2 of them are polished and I was thinking of polishing the others too, what do you think?

Polish them?
Paint them the dull-ish grey they used to be?
Paint them Gunmetal grey?
Paint them black?

Ps. She's a bit dirty, her original colour is infact green, not brown

Was thinking white for a while but I'm not sure anymore, I had white wheels on the car and I only liked them once they were gone lol.

It's a Daewoo Nexia btw :)

I like the idea of gunmetal rims on a green car...I think it would be a nice compliment to the green.

true. one of my friends has a dark green Renault clio with gunmetal gray rims and they are very well suited.
but then again, white rims also look good if you're after a rally style.
Cargo cultism is a beautiful thing as long as you never fall for it.

Picked up some gunmetal grey paint today, well it's a tad darker than gunmetal. I'll post some pics of one of the wheels when i get it sprayed, won't be for a while... Probably after Christmas

Also, think I've just got myself another set of 4 that need a bit of tlc for cheap, 50 uk sterling.

Apparently they have good tyres aswell, so :D

2 Of the wheels i have atm have a bit of bad damage, one has a chunk out of the sidewall, the other's sidewall has been filed down because the car drove with no tyre [not my car, the one they were on before hand] so i'm not too keen on them, they still hold pressure though.

ANYWAY! That should be 9 I have now, which is great cause i'll have 3 cracking spares and 2 others incase i really need them

[EDIT] Got the other set of four :) Expect to have them finished by late jan/feb. I've exams coming up in mid jan so from christmas->jan there'll be no lovin' for my car until i get the exams sorted. It'll still be there when i come back like, no rush :)
