This took a lot longer that I thought it would because the top nut was rusted on each one.
I fought the first one off with a small pipe wrench (holding the top of the bolt) while (finally) turning the nut with an open end.
Took over an hour !
Even the lower mounting bolts were rusted in place. Had to put an extension/cheater on my wrench and was praying the bolt would not break !
I had sprayed "P.B. Blaster" (product name for the penetrating oil I bought at AutoZone) on all the bolts/nuts about an hour prior to starting the project. When I finished the first shock it was getting dark outside.
So, I sprayed some more "Blaster" on the remaining shock. And left it overnight.
What a difference a night makes ! The next day I was able to remove that old shock in about 5 minutes. Both the upper nut and lower mounting bolt turned freely ! WOOOOOO-WHOOOOO!!!!
Three cheers for "P.B. Blaster" !!!
WD-4O ? whats that ?

P.S. These shocks may outlive my car but if I ever do replace them ? I won't need any penetrating oil or 'cheater'.
I used 'anti-seize" on all threads.
