Clicking/Ticking Sound

Post by SuperDuperDaewoo »

Whenever my car is in motion forwards or backwards (the speed doesnt matter either), there is a clicking/ticking sound coming from what sounds like the rear of my car. Any idea what this could be?

Try to determine what part the noise is coming from. I've had that same noise caused my a pebble stuck in the treads of my tire.

does the frequency of the occurence of the sound change with car speed?
is it related to bumps?
is it related to left/right turns?
does it fade/increase with braking?

No it is just constant. The clicking/ticking does increase in frequency when there is an increase in speed. It does the same in reverse when slowing down.

Does it happen when the car is revved but still? if not, try the simple thing of checking axle and tires... Simplest things are always overlooked.
