roll the fenders

what does it mean to roll the fenders. i have no idea what that means

if you look at the fender you see that there is a 1/4-1/2 tap that sticks under the whole way aroungd the tire arch.
most people start by bending that back by hand or by using a baseball bat wedged between the tire and fender.
you roll the car back and forth with the bat there and it will push that tab back.

there's a tool that mounts to the wheel hub and does the same thing, most body shops should have it.

hopefully this puts somewhat of a picture in you mind.

ok i don't have to worry bout that rolling my fenders i bought new wheels today and i kept the oe size. do they make a 14 with a lower profile than 185/60r14. i was just curious

if you dont have the correct offset on your wheels you do need to roll the fenders, i had to and i still have 14's
